CKFRs Ladder 51 & Rescue 64 crews just rescued sweet little Benji, a 15 year old toy poodle, after he fell 75 feet over an embankment in the 2000 block of Amhurst Court. Despite being cold and dirty, Benji is doing well.
Crews responded to a residential structure fire in the 5800 block of Harlow Drive around 5:35 am. The fire took approximately 90 minutes to extinguish. Around 12:20 pm today, CKFR responded to Wildcat Lake for a report of a swimmer in distress 100 yards from shore. C-Shift crews deployed our inflatable rescue craft and safely retrieved the victim, bringing them to shore. The patient was treated by CKFR paramedics on site. CKFR Rescue Swimmers also responded, but were not deployed.
