Trailer Fire

Crews responded to a call for a trailer on fire, in close proximity to a house, this afternoon in the 2800 block of NE Spartacus Street.
The fire was contained to the trailer and there were no injuries.
A County Fire Marshal responded to investigate the cause and the Red Cross was dispatched to assist the individual who lives in the trailer.

Vehicle vs Building

This afternoon we were dispatched to a “vehicle vs building” call at Harbor Freight in Silverdale.
Luckily nobody was injured. The accident occurred while the driver was parking. A Kitsap County Building Inspector responded and determined there was no structural damage upon initial investigation. Harbor Freight remained open.

Boater Suffers Medical Emergency

CKFR is on scene of its second water rescue in Dyes Inlet in less than a week. Currently CKFRs Marine 51 and Bremerton Fire Departments Marine 20 are en route. Rescue swimmers will be deployed to make contact with a person having a medical emergency on a sailboat.
Bremerton Fire’s Marine 20 is on scene and, along with CKFR rescue swimmers, made contact with the patient on the sailboat. The patient will be brought to shore and transported to Saint Michael Medical Center by Medic 56.

Water Rescue – Dyes Inlet

CKFR and the US Coast Guard are currently on scene conducting a water rescue in Dyes Inlet off the Silverdale waterfront.
A Coast Guard swimmer is in the water. There is one known occupant of the boat that sank.
The victim has been rescued by the USCG. USCG will meet CKFR at Apex Airport to transport the patient to Saint Michael’s Medical Center.
