CKFR Receives Clean Audit

We’re proud to share that we recently earned a clean audit for calendar years 2020 and 2021.
The Washington State Auditor’s Office (SAO) describes the audit process as a way citizens can see how their government is working. Through this rigorous, independent, and transparent process both the government and the citizens it serves can see what is being done right and what needs to be improved.
As part of their risk assessment, the auditor thoroughly examines district functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bond covenants, self-insurance, purchasing, OPM, and the district’s overall financial condition.
CKFR is proud to report that the SAO issued no findings or other recommendations during this audit period which continues our long trend of clean audits and reflects the district’s highest commitment to prudent fiscal management, strong internal controls, and judicious oversight over public resources.
This is truly the result of a team effort and from each district member’s commitment to fiscal integrity. We’d also like to especially thank our amazing Business team members – Amy Sanchez, Heidi Robnett, Joe Calkins, Tammy Kamphaus for their hard work over several months pulling information and answering questions for our Auditor. Your efforts are greatly appreciated!
