REQUEST TO ARCHITECTS FOR STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS
Pursuant to the provisions of RCW 39.80, Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue (“District”) hereby announce its intent to seek a qualified architect for the District’s current and future projects requiring architectural services.
All interested architects and architectural firms are encouraged to submit to the District, in written form, a letter of interest and statement of qualifications, to include any prior experience providing architectural services to Public and/or Fire Protection Agencies. Firms with experience in fire station design are highly desired. All submittals shall be directed to Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue, c/o ARCHITECTS STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS, 5300 NW Newberry Hill Rd. Suite 101, Silverdale, WA 98383, by no later than 4PM on April 7, 2017. All submittals shall be in 8 ½” x 11” format, not to exceed 20 pages in length. The general nature of the work requested will involve architectural skills needed for public facilities and/or fire stations design, remodel work, and construction management. Candidates should also provide supportive information indicating that they possess good communication skills and possess relevant experience securing all required governmental agency permits. Experience with Kitsap County will be weighed in favor of a candidate.
The successful firm will be selected based upon the following criteria: (1) experience and availability of key personnel, and sub-consultants, (2) relevant experience, (3) past performance, and (4) references.
After an evaluation of the submittals, the District will interview the architects/firms deemed most qualified by their submittals. Upon determination of the most qualified applicant following the interview process, the District will seek to negotiate a professional services agreement and fee structure with the applicant that is acceptable to the District. Services will be used as needed as projects are identified.
Minority and women-owned firms and veteran owned firms are highly encouraged to make the requested submittals.
The District reserves the right to reject all submissions and waive any irregularities and informalities in the information provided.
