Why Inspections Matter

The Child Car Seat Inspection Program is designed to help parents and caregivers ensure that their child’s car seat is installed correctly and safely. Certified technicians provide hands-on assistance and education to reduce the risk of injury in the event of a crash.  Motor vehicle crashes are a leading cause of death for children. Correctly used, car seats can decrease the risk of fatal injury for infants by 71% and for toddlers aged 1-4 by 54% in passenger cars according to Traffic Safety Marketing (.gov).
