CKFR firefighters were honored to host ice cream parties for elementary school kids in our District this past November and December. The ice cream parties celebrated the conclusion of a successful Fire Prevention Week Escape Planning Contest in Central Kitsap. Every student in the Central Kitsap area who returned a completed plan received a pencil and a ruler. In addition, the classroom at each elementary school with the highest percentage of returned fire escape plans won an ice cream sundae party hosted by CKFR firefighters, Local 2819!
Winning classes who enjoyed ice cream with firefighters are:
- Ms. Hegtvedt's 2nd grade class at Brownsville Elementary,
- Ms. Zieser's 1st grade class at Clear Creek Elementary,
- Ms. Sudbeck's 1st grade class at Cottonwood Elementary,
