Is Your Home a Mystery to Find?

Many Central Kitsap residents have already solved the hidden home mystery with highly visible address signs provided through a federal grant to Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue. If your address is already posted, please take a few minutes to ensure the sign remains visible. Check to see that brush, branches, grass and flowers have not grown up and obstructed your address sign since you installed it.

Firefighters appreciate the efforts of nearly 6,000 CK residents who have already ordered and posted reflective blue address signs. Thank you! Your efforts to address your home conspicuously mean firefighters, medics, and law enforcement are better able to find you quickly in the event of an emergency.

Adequate addressing is vital to emergency services. A fire engine, medic or aid unit can be delayed several minutes trying to locate a correct address. If you still need a reflective address sign, we have a few remaining and would be happy to make one for you. Address signs are most helpful when posted at the street or driveway, perpendicular to the road so that vehicle headlights hit them.
